Autum 2008 SAGA OF DRAMA - Part II

Continuing the drama, living the drama, I make what JuJu calls drama a pesky mosquito bite in the wake of being swarmed by killer bees.

GD.
Lots going on, I'll start with the current situation: me not actually having a place to stay outside of a mission out in Guri city outside of Seoul. Talk about eyebrow raising. I am still in Korea. I don't have a new job yet because I was hoping to go to school in LA in January, but that's not panning out. Time constraints and money constraints make that a "sometime in the future" endeavour.

My school actually seems to be getting worse since I left at the end of October. Another teacher was asked not to come back, and class sizes continues to dwindle. I figure a combo of karma and bad business decisions will probably allow this trend to continue. Poor Mr. H, I assume he still is holding on to the things that have helped him slip so badly in the last year. With the economy going as it is, there are bound to be casualties.

I've been having a helluva time dealing with what I actually need to do to move on. Lots of maybes, potentials and postulations being thrown my way. I wanted some time to think about it. A few things that are on my mind: what do I need to do with my visa to stay legal in Korea, where can I live, how much money do I need, if I can go home....

At first, when I was just hoping to go to school in LA, I was going to stay at my taichi teacher's house because I was planning action against my former employer for firing me illegally. Then it ended up that I COULDN'T stay there, and I had to move out ASAP. Sooo that's why I'm in a mission. I have a bunch of my things over at a friend's house, but he's not able to provide me a place to sleep. My teacher was also going to help me with filing against my employer, but now the mission people are also doing that.

I thought that I'd need to change my visa from E2 to a tourist visa, which can only be done out of country. So I headed to Thailand for 4 days. I say that I went there for the visa, but really, it was for the food and the glorious architecture. (Since I'm unemployed at the moment, I will hopefully be able to get some pictures up for here and my picture a day blog [which sadly has been on hiatus since the end of September].) Anyway, I didn't need to do anything in Thailand. Since I'm in a labor board skirmish, I have to change to a G1 visa. *eyeroll to the back of the head* Confused? I am!

I'm about ready to find a nice corner and huddle for awhile. Ah, it could be worse. I could actually be living on the street, or actually thrown out of the country. Drama drama drama

I think I need to watch a movie and rot my brain a little...
