Welcome to my new stompin grounds. This be the Coral room at Lynn English, my designated room for prep. Kind of cute, hmm? Everything's all very cute, actually. It looks a lot more like a daycare than a school, which is great. The old place, Jackie's, looked more like an office than a school, so a daycare's at least got hot air balloon wallpaper to look at.
In addition to cute wallpaper, the place also has
quite an extensive library.

Say hello Sunny! I like poking through the English books and finding some of my old favourites, like Bernstein Bears and Robert Munsch books.
I still enjoy reading kids' books. Sometimes the themes and stories are more interesting than the post modern tripe that gets presented to me as "entertainment." Sometimes a story is just a story, and you can't beat the classics.
Continuing on the tour, may I introduce a few of my coworkers.

The lovely lady on the left is librarian Kate. The trio is, from the top, Jamie, Berna and

Emily. Jamie actually quit a couple weeks ago because she's going to go to the States and wanted some time to study. I hope she does well on her course. Miss you doll! We have two Filipinos working with us, Berna and Maureen, but I don't have a good picture of Maureen to show you. Next we have fellow waegookin, Spencer, and Sunny posing by the door. Last is Jesse looking rather self-conscious. His excuse is that he's used to taking photos, not being the one having his picture taken.

Classes are named instead of given a level. At first I raise my eyebrows to this idea, but it's much easier when there are over 20 of them and most are in the same levels. Some favourite names are Uranus and Venus. Venus is lovely because of the Korean pronunciation (pee-nuss-se).

Here's some students from my Orion class, Caitlyn and Iris.
What's this? I am actually smiling? At work? But only a few months ago, this was a grave impossibility. This must be a sign of greater things....
